- This Music Disk Utilizes A Multichannel Digital Music Driver. It Can Support
- Up To 32 Channels Of Music At One Time. In This Music Disk, The Maximum Number
- Of Channels That Will Be Mixed At One Time Is 16. Therefore, Users Of The
- Gravis Ultrasound Card Have A Big Advantage Over SoundBlaster Users In That
- The Quality Will Be Much Better On A GUS. The Quality Of Music On A SB or SBPro
- Goes Down Significantly As The Number Of Channels Are Increased. The Songs With
- Fewer Channels Will Most Likely Sound Better Than The Songs With More Channels.
- On A GUS, The Quality Is Maintained Rather Than Lost.
-
-
- 486DX w/SB or SBPro - 44100 Hz or 22000 Hz Mixing Rate
- /A (possibly /B too) If Music Clicks During Animations
-
- 386DX w/SB or SBPro - 44100 Hz or 22000 Hz Mixing Rate
- /A (possibly /B too) If Music Clicks During Animations
-
- 386SX w/SB or SBPro - 22000 Hz or 11000 Hz Mixing Rate (depending on CPU speed)
- /A (possibly /B too) If Music Clicks During Animations
-
- Any CPU With GUS - No Switches Should Be Necessary
-
-
- 1 - If You Experience Glitches Or Clicks In The SoundBlaster Music On Your PC,
- Try Choosing A Lower Mixing Rate Or Turning Off The Animations (/A or /B)
-
- 2 - 44100 Hz DOES NOT WORK ON ALL SOUNDBLASTER CARDS! If You Have A SB 1.0,
- SB 1.5, or SBPro 44100 Hz May Not Function Properly Due To The Limitations
- Of These Cards. SoundBlaster 2.0 Owners Should Have No Problems. SBPro
- Users May Choose SB 2.0 In The Configuration Which Will Enable You To Use
- 44100 Hz In MONO (No Stereo At 44100 On SBPro).
-
- 3 - We Have Tested This Music Disk At A Few Different CPU Speeds. Users Of
- Slower CPUs May Be Able To Play The Music At A Higher Mixing Rate If The
- Animations And Volume Bar Changes (/A and /B) Are Turned Off, Provided
- That The SoundBlaster Model Supports It.
-
- 4 - 386SX Computers Most Likely Will Not Be Able To Handle A 44100 Mixing Rate
- In This Music Disk.
-
- 5 - We Have Recently Added An SB/SBPro Quality Mode To The Music Driver. If You
- Experience Serious Problems With The Music Disk, You May Wish To Run It
- With The /Q Switch To Turn It Off. This Feature Does Not Take Any Extra
- System Time, So Don't Worry About The Speed. We Have Not Found Any Problems
- With This Feature In Our Tests, But It May Not Work Everywhere. If This Is
- The Case, You May Turn It Off.
-
- 6 - This Music Disk Does Not Specifically Support SoundBlaster 16 Due To The
- Lack Of Information Available. We Have, However, Implemented A Command
- Line Switch To Allow Most SB16 Owners To Run This Music Disk In SB 2.0
- Or Possible SBPro Mode. If You Have An SB16, You Most Likely Will Need
- To Run This Music Disk With The /D Switch To Turn Off Looping DMA
- Transfers.
